Airports in Tuscany: how to
arrive in Tuscany by airplane
In Florence, Amerigo Vespucci Airport is just five kilometres
northwest of the city centre. To get to the center you can either take a taxi
outside of the arrivals hall, or take a shuttle bus, departures every 30
minutes from the airport and from SITA coach station (piazza Stazione) to the
airport. Tickets cost about 4,00 € and can be purchased on board as well as
inside the airport or at the Sita coach station and at the Ataf ticket booth
(Stazione di Santa Maria Novella).
The Pisa Airport Galileo Galilei is about 80 chilometres
from Florence. The easiest way to reach Florence from Galilei airport is by
train (about one every hour). Inside Florence S.Maria Novella railway station
Air Terminal at track n. 5. Passenger and baggage check-in for all flights
